Emily Sears is an Australian born model who is currently based in Los Angeles, California.
Growing up in the culturally diverse Melbourne, with art publishers for parents, Emily was exposed to the passion for aesthetics at a young age which over time has translated into a love for modeling beyond vanity and the superfluous.
Emily grew up in a family of very practical and resilient Australian women, providing her with a grouded no fuss attitude, an off beat sense of humour and the fight it takes to be successful through rejection and ramen noodle diets.
Emily's great Aunt Wendy Martin was 1956 Australian model of the year and lived in Los Angeles after being discovered by the great Helmut Newton.Having visited Wendy many times in LA before her passing, Emily had seen many photographs, not only at her parents industrial art publishing warehouse, but also originals of her beloved great Aunt Wendy, who was always dressed in head to toe leopard print and possessed a wicked sense of humour and adventure.
Wanting to replicate her family's legacy, Emily set out to take some pictures that she would feel someday would be like the vintage pin ups she had seen of Wendy, that she could show her grandkids.
Having done her research a still unknown Emily shot with HARLEM PRODUCTIONS AUSTRALIA and her first shoot sold as two magazine covers.
Her first cover with Australia's highest selling men's magazine Zoo weekly, received such positive sales feedback that she was offered a role as an advice columnist in each issue, and to date has 15 magazine covers internationally.
